Originally announced last week during CES, the Sony Xperia Z1S has already arrived with T-Mobile. The carrier has the handset available for online sales beginning today. Regardless of whether you move forward and buy online now, or from a retail store on the 22nd -- the pricing and specs for the handset remain the same.

Hisense X1 hands-on with a tablet-sized smartphone

Smartphones seem to be growing in size, but there is a point where a device should be considered a phablet, or in the case with the recently unveiled Hisense X1 -- a tablet. Coming out of CES 2014, Hisense has unveiled the 6.8-inch X1 smartphone. Naturally, we were a bit curious about this oversized smartphone so we made sure to spend a bit of hands-on time checking it out.

ZTE BlueWatch hands-on

ZTE did a bit of pre-CES teasing so we knew some of what they were planning to unveil. They had a new smartphone, and phablet as well as their entry into the wearable space. The ZTE wearable is a smartwatch and it is called the BlueWatch. We made sure to head over to the ZTE booth to spend a few minutes playing and were greeted with somewhat of a clunky and Pebble-like design.

Toshiba Chromebook hands-on: 13.3-inches and a 9 hour battery

Toshiba entered the Chromebook market here at CES 2014 with a 13.3-inch notebook. This has them sitting in sort of a middle ground as many of the other Chromebooks are sporting an 11-inch display. Then we have the HP Chromebook 14. But while Toshiba has found the middle ground in terms of display size, the resolution will come in at a familiar 1366 x 768.

Samsung Galaxy NotePRO: Hands-on with the new flagship tablet

It's time that Android tablets got serious. That's Samsung's argument here at CES 2014, and the tablet it expects to convince us with is the Galaxy NotePRO. As the "Note" branding suggests, this is an S Pen equipped slate similar to the Note 10.1 and Note 3 of 2013, but the PRO nomenclature signifies what Samsung argues is a real step up in productivity: a tablet that's just as much at home creating content as it is consuming it. We stopped by for some hands-on time ahead of the Galaxy NotePRO's launch; read on for some first-impressions.
