Verizon Moto G $100 price point explained

Verizon has already announced plans to launch the Moto G in early 2014. The handset will be joining the prepaid lineup and while an official release date and price is still needed -- it appears as if those details have been revealed. Keeping in mind nothing is official until we hear it from Big Red, it looks like the Moto G will be available on January 9th and with a price point of $99.99.

Archos home automation setup arriving as “Connected Home”

Along with the Connected Self line of gadgets, Archos also dropped some teasers for the Connected Home lineup. Archos has promised a full unveil of the Connected Home lineup during CES, which takes place in early January. For now though, some basic teasing which includes how this setup will make use of a Smart Home Tablet or the Archos Smart Home App running on another Android device.

Motorola CEO Woodside discusses relationship with Google, long term goals

Motorola CEO Dennis Woodside recently gave an interview with the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette in which he highlights some of those very concerns. According to the new boss, things will change, but not because Google is demanding it.

There are always some issues when dealing with device sales figures. To begin with, there is the bit about whether they are actually sold, or just shipped. The former means the device has reached a users hands and the latter means the manufacturer shipped the device and it is sitting on a shelf waiting to reach a customer. Aside from needing that distinction, there is also the difference between analyst reports and numbers direct from the manufacturer.

Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 and Galaxy Band tipped for a MWC unveil

It seems many are still waiting to see what happens with the currently available Galaxy Gear smartwatch in terms of future updates, however rumors are suggesting Samsung may soon unveil the follow up model. According to reports coming from The Korean Herald, Samsung may be readying the Galaxy Gear 2 as well as another wearable for Mobile World Congress, which will take place in late February 2014.

HP Chromebook 11 availability returns with Amazon

With the charger issue being taken care of, it seems the HP Chromebook 11 is returning to an available status. Things are not at a point where the Chromebook can be considered widely available, however Amazon does have an active product listing. The retailer has the Chromebook 11 available in white with blue trim and perhaps key here, shown as a Prime eligible item and being in-stock and ready to ship.
