LG has been busy with the LG G4 and some other mid-range phones that we thought the company has forgotten the phablet category. It didn’t and we might soon see the next LG G Pad 2 if we are to believed the rumor and some specs that there revealed over on Weibo by a certain Leaksly. The source said it’s the follow up to the LG G Pad 8.3 which was introduced last year.

Initially called as the LG G Pad 2, the phone-tablet is said to have the same 8.3-inch screen, 1080p resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SoC, 3GB RAM, 32GB expandable storage, 8MP camera, and 5MP front-facing camera for the selfie addicts. No word on battery size, pricing, and availability but device will already run the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop.

This LG G Pad 2 could arrive together with the LG G Pro 3. The latter is expected to have a smaller 6-inch QuadHD display with 2560 x 1440 resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, 32GB built-in storage, 4GB RAM, and a 20.7MP main camera.

LG has many new offerings recently announced including the LG Tone Active Bluetooth headset, LG BELLO II (LG Max in India), LG G4 Beat, LG Band Play, and those new projectors. There’s also a talk about LG coming up with one of the two new Nexus phones that will be announced later this year but we have to wait patiently for that and see.

  1. First of all the LG G4 IS a phablet……

Second of all- the LG G Pad 2 is not going to be a phablet, it is going to be a tablet!!!

no one else is reporting that it has phone capabilities…. hence- tablet. Not phablet!! Plus even if it did have phone capabilities, at 8.3 inches it is still a tablet, not a phablet…..
