Sprint Samsung SPH-D600 mid-range WiMAX Android phone leaks
One of Sprint's upcoming mid-range WiMAX Android smartphones has leaked, with the Samsung SPH-D600 turning up in the wild for a few blurry photos. Phandroid's tipster sent them the loot, a triplet of shots showing the DROID X-esque fascia, simple back panel and software screen confirming it's Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread onboard. Among the confirmed specs so far are a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 480 x 320 resolution touchscreen and a 3.2-megapixel main camera, while there's also a front-facing webcam for video calls. That doesn't exactly make for a groundbreaking product sheet, but it should hopefully mean that Sprint can offer this 4G handset at a more affordable price. With rivals like Verizon releasing a number of 4G LTE phones at the moment, Sprint needs to claw some attention back to its own 4G offering. A $99 or lower sticker for the SPH-D600 could certainly do that, and we see nothing in the specs that would really prevent it. No word on release date nor official name at this stage. [gallery]

Raving Babies for Xperia PLAY Review
Oh my goodness what kind of a weird game is this? It's called Raving Babies, a game out exclusively on Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY being released on Verizon Wireless. The gameplay is simple enough - walk sideways and shoot your gun, defeating the enemies. Just like Ninja Turtles, Simpsons, NARC, and every other game from the 1990s. The difference here is that you've got it on your little screen and you're playing it with an Xperia PlayStation controller. Also the objective is to placate a bunch of hostile babies with your pacifier gun so that you can scoop them up and let them know how bad they've been with a time out!

Xperia PLAY Comes with Screen Skin Protector Attached
So you're sitting there taking a look at your brand new Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY from Verizon and you notice something strange. Something feels a little - off. You think, what could it be? Could this device be broken somehow, am I just losing my mind? No, wait, what's that, is there an extra layer over the screen here that I forgot to take off? No way, man, can't be. But sure as heck it is, a protective plastic sheet attached to the screen, not the same as the rest of the standard packaging safeguards, but one that's meant to stay on for life.

T-Mobile G2x Pulled From Site For Quality Issues?
Perhaps the hottest phone on T-Mobile's lineup, the G2x, has mysteriously disappeared from the carrier's website. According to TMoNews, the phone may have been pulled for quality issues. A search for the device on T-Mobile.com currently only results in G2x accessories, but no sign of the device itself.

Acer Iconia Smart Delayed Till July Amid Japan Earthquake Aftermath
Have you heard of the new Acer Android smartphone? Nay? It's called the Acer Iconia Smart, and it's basically a phantom. Last time we heard from it, we were at Mobile World Congress 2011 and our good man Chris Davies was on the case. At that time it appeared that the phone would indeed be released by May 2011 (that's what time it is now,) but newest news says that a delay is occurring because Acer needs parts from Japanese factories that just aren't in commission at the moment.

Gun Bros for Xperia PLAY App Review
We're about to go through a big fat marathon of reviews of the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY's device-specific games here and we've decided to start with one that's been out for a few months but seems custom-tailored to be played with the knobs this device offers. Where before we were stuck with placing thumbs on the screen to control the two virtual joysticks this game requires, we're now allowed to use the two much more responsive (mostly due to placement) joysticks provided by PlayStation. Is it enough to make us want to move to Xperia PLAY to continue our game?

Notifications Windows Music Controller Demo on LG Optimus 3D
Have you seen this little piece of candy before? It's a cool little audio track controller present in the notifications pull-down menu on the LG Optimus 3D. It controls the music you're playing with your stock music player and, since Music Beta force closes when you try to open it on LG Optimus 3D, that's pretty much it. It does see album cover art, and does display that, then plays the track, whichever track you want to play.

Acer Iconia Tab A100 Delay Due to 7-inch Incompatibility with Honeycomb Says the Manufacturer
Wait, say what? Apparently, according to DigiTimes speaking with some "sources familiar with the matter," Acer's Iconia A100 (the smaller cousin of our already-reviewed Iconia Tab A500), have noted that Acer is blaming incompatibility issues with Honeycomb on a 7-inch device for their delay in launch. As you know, the Acer Iconia Tab A100 was supposed to be launched back on May 14th along with the 101 (the 3G version) - that was nixed! Of course we're all waiting for this release because this set o' tablets is going to be bargain priced and the A500 isn't half bad, you know what I mean?

Sprint Motorola Phone possibly called the Photon 4G
We have been hearing for a while that Sprint would be getting another big device like the EVO soon but from Motorola, and that it was planned to be an Atrix-like device but with even more docks and accessories. We still don't know much, but I'm sure Sprint will be spilling the beans soon so stay tuned on AndroidCommunity. We are now hearing reports that it will be a device very similar to the Droid X2 and will be launching on Sprint with a dual-core and 4G both, Take that Verizon.
