Android One Google Thailand smartphone

Android One is rapidly becoming available in more countries. The mobile platform is now available in the United Kingdom , Turkey, and in several countries in Asia–ready to make bigger waves in the emerging markets. This Android One is Google’s entry-level mobile OS for developing countries where resources are limited.

Android One is now available in numerous countries in Asia like the Philippines, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, India, and Pakistan and recently, in Thailand. Google Thailand has just made an announcement that Android One is ready in Thailand and the first Android Phone will be the iQ II by i-mobile.

The iQ II is a basic smartphone that comes equipped with a 5-inch HD screen, 8 megapixel rear camera, 2MP front-facing cam, dual SIM support, WiFi, and 4G connectivity–all for the price of 4,444 THB which is only about $127. The phone is based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop so we can expect smarter notifications, a better battery-saving feature, improved performance, and a Material Design UI. You can purchase the iQ II from i-mobile and other retail and online stores in the country.

Don’t expect too much from the smartphone because it’s really very basic. As you know, Android One devices are targeted to those people who are buying their first smartphones. For its affordable sub $200 price, the i-mobile iQ II Android One phone can definitely be a good buy if you’re on the lookout for a new budget phone.
