Just when you thought Zinio couldn’t get any better, NVIDIA swoops in and flips the optimization switch. Zinio’s digital newsstand application is now optimized for NVIDIA Tegra 2, working exclusively on the chipmaker’s devices including Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, ASUS Eee Pad Transformer, Motorola Xoom, T-Mobile G-Slate by LG, LG Optimus Pad and Acer Iconia Tab A500. This application will be YOUR portal into the world of digital magazines and it’s free on the Android market today.

Zinio acts very similar to other eReader apps in that you’re able to go in and purchase the texts you like, this newest update, should you choose to download it today, giving you the three latest issues of three rather popular magazines: ESPN, Harper’s Bazaar and Popular Science. Zinio, for those of you that haven’t used it before, is a platform that works in a cloud-like environment as well, allowing you to have access to your own personal library of magazines from Mac, PC, laptop, iOS, Android and soon webOS, Windows 7 and BlackBerry.

Android users may have used Zinio before, as it HAS been available for Android as an “un”-optimized version. As you’ll see in the video below, enhancements made with NVIDIA have made page-turning, zooming, and many behind-the-scenes enhancements that make this version the best one for Android yet. At the moment, this app only works for Android 3.0 and 3.1, but we’re expecting it, as well as basically every other app on the planet, to work with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich when it gets released later this year.

Download the app [for free on the Android Market today.]
