Samsung Galaxy S6 Galaxy S6 edge Drop Test

Samsung doesn’t want to be defeated so it challenged SquareTrade to do another stress test of the Galaxy S6 edge targeting both the back and front sides. It released an official statement and its own Three-Point Bend Test to show the new flagship phone is durable. After all the numerous stress tests we’ve seen of the Galaxy S6 edge being dropped on concrete floor, submerged on water, another round of drop test, that extreme bend test , and the speed test, we learned that the phone can be a smart choice as long as you use a protective case and don’t leave it underwater for more than 20 minutes.

Samsung’s Three-Point Bend Test proved that the phone can withstand harsh conditions under normal usage. As if that wasn’t enough to convince Samsung fans that the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge are A-okay, the company released another video  to prove the phones are indeed durable. And not that we still need or want to watch another stress test but here is the video:

Samsung knows people are interested to know if the glass back cover can survive drops so it did drop the phone. If you no longer have the heart to watch this after several videos, know that the phones survived.

Samsung admitted the Galaxy S6 and the S6 edge are not invincible (because really, what gadget is?). The smartphones are durable because they use the toughest glass today, Gorilla Glass 4, and the 6013 aluminum metal frame is able to hit the surface before the screen his the floor. The glass, frame, and bracket all work to share the shock of impacts when the phone is dropped.

I believe this new drop test but Samsung, that’s not concrete floor. People don’t always drop phones on some metal-aluminum surface. If the test is done on concrete then the result would be different, right? What do you think?
