Aside from the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, Note 5, S6, S6 Edge, S7, S7 Edge, and HTC 10 Europe, Huawei’s very own Honor 8 is about to receive the Nougat update. The beta phase uncovered was actually for the EMUI 5.0 covering the Android Nougat. The Honor 8 is only one of the several Huawei phones getting the Android Nougat update as new version of the OS for the Huawer Mate 8 has been leaked recently.
The newly announced Huawei Mate 9 already runs the new EMUI version which is based on Android 7.0. And this time, the result of XDA and Huawei’s partnership to look for testers for the release, is another rollout as the Nougat Beta build is now ready for the Honor 8.
This one delivers a cleaner user interface (UI) and menus of white and blue. The color scheme has been updated, as well as, the Quick Toggles. The standard notification shade also gets an update as a single line of 6 toggles has been added. Most apps can also now launch or can be accessed in three instant actions.
We still have no idea when the Android Nougat for the Huawei Honor 8 will be available officially but expect it to happen anytime soon since the Beta version is already out. Check out the screenshots below:
