ZTE is determined to make it bigger not only in the Chinese mobile market but also in the USA. Just a few days ago, the Nubia Z11 Mini was launched with impressive camera specs. There’s also the Blade 2 wowing us with a 4000mAh battery a few months ago. Spotted on TENAA were the ZTE Nubia X8 and X8 Mini and now this ZTE Axon 2. We know the Axon as a more popular line and we’ve lost count how many Axon phones we’ve seen and tried.
The next Axon 2 looks similar to the previous Axon models since the first one was launched middle of 2015. The first one was also sighted on TENAA before we learned it has triple biometrics. In the United States, it was sold through Newegg, Amazon, and eBay as promised. The Axon Mini soon followed and then the Axon Elite and Axon Pro plus the Axon Max phablet.
The ZTE Axon 2 features a 5.5-inch QHD OLED screen, Snapdragon 820 processor by Qualcomm, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, microSD card slot, 20MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, 8MP selfie shooter, and USB Type-C connectivity. There’s no mention of battery size but it should not be lower than 3000mAh. The storage can be expanded to 128GB.
We have yet to see the ZTE Nubia X8, Nubia X8 Mini, and this Axon 2 and witness their official launch but it should be anytime soon. A TENAA certification is a sure indication that a product is almost ready for commercial release. Oh the announcement will happen, just wait.
