Sony is on a roll. The Japanese electronics and mobile company has been releasing Android Marshmallow updates for mobile devices after only launching beta programs and several Sony Concept Android firmware. It needs to hurry up because the Android n Preview is already out for the Xperia Z3. So far, we know the following devices to have been Marshmallowed: Xperia Z2, Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact, Xperia Z5, Z4 Tablet, and the Z3+ (aka Z4).

Finally, the Z3 Tablet Compact can enjoy the update and the new features and enhancements Android 6.0.1 version brings. The update with build number 23.5.A.0.570 is now ready for the tablet and can be downloaded over WiFi or LTE. If you see the following updates, get it immediately: SGP621, SGP641, SGP611, or SGP612. As with most Marshmallow versions, this one will deliver improved app data permissions, Doze Mode, Google Now on Tap, better battery management, new home launcher, as well as, the latest security patches.

If you own a Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, expect to receive OTA notifications anytime soon. Check manually on your Settings menu if you don’t have it yet. Note that this is already Android 6.0.1–not Android 6.1. This version should also include STAMINA mode back.
