The Samsung Galaxy S7 is not out until a few months from now but we’ve been hearing a lot of good things about it already. Of course, it’s expected that the next premium flagship phone will be another winner. As early as now, we want to know if it will be faster than ever especially since the smartphone is rumored to use both an Exynos and a Snapdragon.
If you may remember, this year’s Galaxy S6 is powered by the Exynos 7420. Samsung ditched Qualcomm because of overheating issues. But it’s only for the high-end phones because the company still used Snapdragon on some models.
For next year, we believe the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge will run either an Exynos or a Snapdragon 820 processor. The latter has recently hit a high single-core score on a benchmark only a few weeks after it was officially announced. We also know that an improved S820 will be used on the Galaxy S7 according a few benchmarks as well.
We’re not doubting the great performance of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820. We’ve got another proof that it’s gonna be great. Well, it’s not really a confirmed evidence but another information that says a better version of the Snapdragon 820 will be used on the Galaxy S7–exclusively. That’s big news. Could Qualcomm be making it up to Samsung?
The Snapdragon 820 used on an early variant of the Galaxy S7 by Samsung scored high in both multi-core and single-core performance at 5423 and 2456, respectively. This is according to a Chinese leakster. This is perhaps related to that rumor that Samsung is looking into heat-pipes to cool down new phones.
The Snapdragon 820 has been spotted clocking in at different frequencies but we know it can go up to 2.2 GHz. Some mobile devices are said to use it but with reduced frequency. What the Galaxy S7 is getting is an exclusive version. You see, scores will differ in different mobile devices, frequencies, and specs. Using two different processors may affect the performance and benchmarks scores of the Samsung Galaxy S7. We’re just glad that at least, we know the next Galaxy S7 will exceed our expectations–better than the S6 and hopefully, now with the microSD card slot back. (Crossing our fingers…)

Will the GS 7 have replaceable battery and microSD? If not, MEH.
Move along, nothing to see.
