First introduced at the International CES in Las Vegas in January, the ASUS ZenFone 2 has been intriguing us with its slim form, wide display, and a sub $300 price point. The smartphone has yet to arrive in the United States but it’s officially and readily available in Europe and Asia (Taiwan and Malaysia), complete with a slew of phone accessories. In a new video published on YouTube, ASUS showcased the beauty and power of the ASUS ZenFone 2.

In this lengthy video, ASUS has featured the Android smartphone’s “marvelous” camera, narrating to us how the company’s Digital Image Technology team worked on it painstakingly for years. ASUS boasts that the phone’s incredible design makes it a winner–defining “modern luxury design at its finest”. Zooming in on the ZenFone 2’s camera, we learned that the ASUS PixelMaster Camera has the ability to capture real beauty, enabling the user to preserve memories and paint the world in vivid colors.
According to ASUS, that as part of research, design, and development, they analyzed technology and thousands of photos to identify and set algorithms that will guarantee the user will only see exactly what he gets. With the phone’s 5-piece camera module and its blue glass filter, more light is delivered to the unit through the F2.0 aperture and the high sensitivity sensors. Once image is captured, data is sent to the image signal processor and goes through about 20 stages of processing down to each pixel.
The ZenFone 2 also features an adaptable dual flash function. This refers to the built-in Dual LED Real Tone Flash that comes a warm light and cool white LED for a more natural-looking skin tone especially during low light conditions both indoors or out. In extreme dark conditions, the high dynamic range function will take several photos simultaneously. And when polished by ASUS’ Pixel Enhancing Algorithm, the result is an image with the “truest view”. This technology is said to draw even the tiniest detail to life.
Other special camera features of the ASUS ZenFone 2 include the following:
• low light mode with 400% light sensitivity
• backlight with 4x the brightness and color contrast (Super HDR)
• innovative pixel imaging technology
• super resolution
