Android Users Are Not Loyal to their OS, iPhone Users Are
We all love our Android devices. Yes, we would like to see faster updates on some phones, but other than that we really enjoy the Android platform. However, in an interesting study conducted of over 2,600 mobile phone users in Brazil, Germany, Spain, Britain, the United States and China the results show that Android only has 28 percent loyalty despite the plurality of manufacturers on which its OS is available.

According to the AT&T Share Facebook page, the Motorola Olympus will be launching in December or January. A reader of BGR took to the Facebook page to ask when we will be seeing a device, and to our surprise whomever was operating the page at the time answered with a timeframe.

Android 3.0 Honeycomb has been spotted in recent Adobe Air logs. Presumably a Google engineer was testing Adobe Air's performance on the operating system and that's how it appeared in the log.

As Acer continues to step up its presence in the smartphone market, it's releasing more and more low and high end devices to compete with the best. Continuing this push, Acer is taking aim at the LG Optimus One, and is releasing its own low-end Android 2.2 device.

Just as we heard of impressive sales of Android compared to Windows Phone 7, we are now hearing our favorite OS is poised to pass both Apple's iOS and Nokia Symbian OS in Europe. IDC analyst Francisco Jeronimo told Bloomberg that Android will likely pass the two competitors sometime next year.

The Sharp IS03 is known for it's "Retina-like" display (960 x 640 resolution), but now it can be known for something entirely different, Lady Gaga. Android au has just released a series of ads for the device to be aired on Japanese TVs and with it comes a whole lot of Poker Face.

Microsoft is keeping quiet about sales figures of Windows Phone 7 devices, so we have to look to retailers for some actual numbers. UK retailer MobilesPlease has released data that shows early WP7 phone sales were "unusually disappointing," going on to state that only 3-percent of the company's sales were from Microsoft's new mobile OS.

Sprint is continuing the rollout of its WiMax 4G network activating it in 6 more cities across the US today. The last activation day brought coverage to New York along with 5 other cities, and now we will see the "ultra-fast" 4G available in 6 more.
