Sony is still alive. We’re certain of that not because we were told major changes in the business are happening but because invites for the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2019) have appeared online. The big event happening in Barcelona will be the launching pad of many new smartphones include the Samsung Galaxy S10, Huawei P30, and the LG G8. Well, Samsung is making an announcement ahead but we can expect it will be talked about in the same week.
The announcement will happen on February 25, 830 AM CET, as indicated on the invitation. Sony will also be live streaming the event so other fans won’t be left out.
Sony didn’t showcase a new smartphone at the CES last week but the company announced its mobile plans for the year. It’s doing changes in its mobile strategy.
The former camera division executive Kimio Maki is now handling development. Hopefully, he will be able to turn things around for Sony.
