If you’re still not convinced with virtual reality then maybe this new service from Samsung will. Well, at least, those adults who are running out of ideas on how to entertain their young children. The Bedtime VR Stories is a new program that will benefit both child and parent who keep their tradition of reading bedtime stories together. It’s more of a new experience as the Bedtime VR Stories allows them to “read” a story together even when they are miles or continents apart.

Bedtime VR Stories isn’t just for parents who are overseas. It’s also best for the techie parents who somehow want to give their children a head start in geekdom. Okay, maybe that’s not Samsung’s aim but really, this is one cool toy experience for the kids. (Geesh, kids are so lucky these days.)

Storytelling hasn’t changed much over the years expect when the tablet and mobile apps were first introduced. After the digital versions, here comes a new one. We knew something like this will be introduced because virtual reality is quickly being shown off in different ways and in many areas. Samsung is one of the frontrunner in VR since it showed us how a Gear VR helped a father see birth of child virtually over a year ago. There’s also that virtual dive-in experience with sharks and the new VR ride experience at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Samsung continues to live up to its philosophies that technology should bring people together. The possibilities are endless. This and the other VR gimmicks are already under development like the Facebook-Oculus VR social networking or the Minecraft GearVR. The Samsung Bedtime VR Stories technology is still being developed but it should be ready for commercial release very soon.
