The 29th of September is fast approaching and we’re not expecting leaks and rumors to slow down. Only a few days until Google is set to launch the new Nexus phones and probably the new Chromecast, we’re treated to an early preview of the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, as well as, the boxes they are expected to come in.

The last information we heard about the Nexus pair were about the two being called the ‘6P’ and ‘5X‘ and that the Huawei version might have a 128GB option. The LG Nexus 5X and the Huawei Nexus 6P are also rumored to be ready for pre-order by October 13 but we’ll have to wait some more.

The upcoming 5.2-inch and 5.7-inch flagship smartphones have been sighted again, or at least just their boxes. Both the 5X and 6P use rectangular-shaped packaging that features “X” and “P” graphics on the cover. The Nexus devices run Android 5.0 Lollipop but should be upgradeable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow when the mobile OS version is released.

Google Nexus 6P

As for the Nexus 6P, the new leaked images are most likely to be true because of the similarities with the older images we’ve seen. Huawei’s Nexus 6P is expected to be larger with a 5.7-inch 1440p display and a more symmetrical top and bottom bezels.

This is the first time Huawei is rolling out its own Nexus phone. It’s expected to come with some visible lens and flash, fingerprint scanner, Snapdragon 810 SoC, 32GB/64GB/128GB storage options, and a USB Type-C.
