lg g3 android 5.0 lollipop

The last manufacturer to tell us when its device, or rather one getting the Android Lollilop is LG. We know the latest Samsung Galaxy S5 flagship and its Google Play edition will get a taste of the Lollipop this coming December, as well as, the Galaxy Note 4 as earlier teased. Of course, the new Nexus 6 will obviously run it. HTC will be upgrading some its devices to Android 5.0. Motorola too has revealed its upgrade plan while Sony Xperia Z devices are getting the sweetness at the beginning of 2015. Even the NVIDIA Shield tablet is getting Android 5.0.

LG has finally announced that the LG G3 will receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update before the end of 2014. It seems the Netherlands and Belgium will receive the firmware update first before the rest of the world.

No information on what the new Android 5.0 Lollipop will bring to the LG G3 but big improvements on the platform and smartphone performance can be expected. The new Android platform boasts of the following default features: 64-bit processor support, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity enhancements, audio support add-ons, SELinux implementation, OpenGL ES 3.1 for better graphics, and raw image format support.

Only the LG G3 is known to get a taste of Lollipop. No word when other LG devices will receive the update. We’ll see.
