Huawei is still King in the Chinese mobile market and it’s determined to keep its crown. The company is set to roll out more devices in the next few months including the Huawei P9 Lite, P9 Max, Honor V8, 7P, and a MediaPad T2 10.0 Pro tablet. We’re really not certain when these models will be unveiled but we’re waiting to see more speculations and hear rumors, if not leaked images.

One of the things that Huawei doesn’t usually change in specs of its products is the display since differences are not very noticeable to the ordinary eyes. Richard Yu, Huawei CEO, even said QHD displays are not necessary. This time, Yu changed his tone and said that the next smartphone will have a 2K display. He noted one reason only: VR. Yup, Huawei is jumping into the virtual reality world soon. We’re assuming that Huawei will enter the virtual realm with a bang this year since the company recently introduced its own VR device.

Officially called as the Huawei VR, we can expect the the device to usher Huawei into a new field where display quality really matters. The VR only supports Full HD for now but we’re guessing the next version will have a better display. Full HD or 1080p can be used but 2K is the best for VR. Because of this development, we can expect the next premium flagship phone from Huawei to have higher resolution.
