DxOMark Selfie scores

Others have a lot of things to say against DxOMark but in the mobile industry, it’s already one of the most trusted sites when it comes to mobile photography. We check the site for the latest top performing phones. For the past year, the Huawei P20 Pro is No. 1 but it recently got tied with another Huawei phone–the Mate 20 Pro. The review site follows certain standards and changed some protocols since dual rear cameras became more common.

In September 2017, DxOMark Mobile test protocols were updated to keep up with advanced imaging tech. DxOMark soon retested popular smartphones using new protocols.

If you’re not convinced about the integrity of DxOmark, know that the reviewers take 1500 photos and two hours worth of video. Those are enough for DxOMark to evaluate.

DxOMark is making another big change. It’s more like an addition to the standard tests. DxOMark has recently posted the Selfie scores of the reviewed smartphones.

DxOMark Selfie scores are gathered by using a special protocol designed for the front-facing cameras. Image quality is important to most smartphone users. For some, they only care about camera performance.

Mobile and Selfie rankings are posted on the website. Besides the Mobile scores are the Selfie scores on the list.

Here are the phones with their DxOMark Overall Selfies:
