Amazon Echo and Alexa are slowly finding their way to many smart homes. Google Home plans to take on the two but we don’t know how and when the tech giant will be able to do that quickly. We’ve seen Amazon Echo models work with the Alexa and so far, so good. The system has potential to make it big but we’re leaving it to the e-commerce website to sell, market, and improve. One way for Amazon to bring Alexa closer to more people is to allow it to be integrated with other devices like the Pebble Core, Amazon Fire TV, Triby, Nest Learning Thermostat, and Wink products.
Amazon has introduced the Echo Dot and Amazon Tap before all these products but we know more will be announced in the coming weeks and months. Next to join the bandwagon in having Alexa “talk” is Logitech. With its already available Harmony support, the possibilities are endless for Alexa to work with Logitech products.
There’s no formal announcement yet but some product owners happened to received a special notice. Written in the letter is the fact that Logitech is “beta testing Harmony remote control integration with Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, and Tap”. This means those Harmony remote control user can start/stop Harmony Activities using Alexa voice command. This special integration will benefit those people who own an Echo or Harmony-support devices.
