If the latest reports are accurate we might be seeing the Samsung Hercules land over on T-Mobile this September. If the HTC Sensation or the recently troubled G2x dual-core phones aren’t what you desire maybe the Hercules will be, it has great specs to back it up.

In case you haven’t heard the Samsung Hercules could very well be the Galaxy S II variant for T-Mobile, with a boosted screen size hitting 4.5″ and looking beautiful with that AMOLED display. We haven’t seen much of Hercules as of late but he could have recently passed through the FCC.

The Samsung Hercules specs if to be believed feature that 4.5″ AMOLED display, Android 2.3 Gingerbread with NFC support. Reports suggesting a Qualcomm 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 16GB storage and 1GB RAM, loaded with a 8MP rear camera as well as a front VGA all topped off with some T-Mobile 4G speeds. Sounds perfect if I don’t say so myself. With recent reports about carriers and Samsung not able to agree to a Galaxy S II launch the Hercules will just have to make do, but I’m not complaining.

      • I know its going to get the upgrade at some point in time but I was more concerned with the increase in resolution that will come with the upgrade. Android ICS (4.0) is supposed to have 1280×720 resolution (not for the camera but the actual screen). So when the phone gets the software update, Im guessing its not gonna get the resolution bump?

      • Android 4.0 will come with “SUPPORT” for that resolution, doesn’t mean it’s a requirement.

  1. If those specs are correct, that’ll put a test to Qualcomm’s 1.2GHz processor being there’s no high-resolution here. The Evo 3D and Sensation’s benchmarks are not all that impressive (even overclocked). Super Amoled Plus display is killing qHD anyway!

  2. this is what i been waiting on…. happy with my g2x right now, and i would never buy a locked phone (sensation) so this is the update for me probably sounds good,,, never had a samsung so sounds like a good one to start with…

  3. This will be custom rom friendly just like the vibrant and completely destroy iPhoney this has all the specs we want and will not be locked down Luke HTC devices also Samsung gives you real onboard memory(l6gb) unlike HTC and there little 1gb of rom Samsung has taken the top position why else do you think apple keeps attackingthem in court?? Because they cannot compete!!!!
