Xiaomi’s naming of its phones can be a bit confusing but just the same, we’re excited to know what the next one will be. The latest Redmi Note 3 is different from the Redmi 3. These Redmi handsets are even different from the Mi models. The latest Mi 5 is released in the market together with the Mi Max phablet.
We don’t really care about how Xiaomi will be naming the new smartphone but it’s probably the Redmi Pro according to a Geekbench Browser listing. As you know, most information spotted on the benchmark sight usually turns out to be true so we’re positive about this one.
From the document, we can gather this Xiaomi Redmi Pro will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and will be powered by an ARM MT6797T 1.55GHz ten-core processor and some 4GB RAM. The said smartphone scored 1850 (single) and 5393 (multi). The numbers are not exactly the highest we’ve seen in Geekbench but sit between the Meizu Pro 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S7 from AT&T.
Details are still scarce but we’re expecting to know this coming July 27. Xiaomi is holding a special conference at the Beijing National Convention Center on the said date so let’s wait and see what the Xiaomi Redmi Pro is all about.
