Lightroom is one of my top personal favorite softwares simply because it makes photo editing easier and faster. On desktop, you only need to import a bunch of photos and then set a filter or preset and you’re good. I usually just use auto tone to make colors more vivid. The mobile version is no different as it offers the same basic editing features.

The program finally came to Android devices last January and has since received a number of updates including RAW support, access to microSD, more editing tools, and the addition of Illustrator Draw and Capture CC. The iOS version of the app usually receives the latest updates first so the app being offered for free on the App Store a couple of months ago is now happening for Android. So yes, thevLightroom for Android version 1.4 is now  available for free. No need for paid subscription so you can access Lightroom.

The $9.99/monthly fee is just too much. We don’t know if there were people or how many actually gave in to pay just for mobile access of Lightroom. Since there are thousands of similar image editing apps, there really is no point in paying for a pricey app even if it’s from one of the best in the industry–Adobe.

The Lightroom for Android version 1.4 is one of the top Android apps of 2015 according to Google.  You can take advantage of photo editing and file synching with Lightroom on your laptop or Lightroom Web right on Lightroom on your mobile device. This news of being offered for free may come as a surprise since the app was previously listed as premium. Mind you, it’s not just a one-time-one-dollar-payment app but rather a ten-dollar-per-month program.

Lightroom for Android 1.4 also features RAW/DNG workflow support so you can edit the photos in even in small details.
