As had been rumored, the LG G Pad 8.3 LTE will be coming available with Verizon Wireless. The release date is set for March 6th, with availability online and also in retail stores. Those grabbing the tablet within the first few days of availability will be able to get the lowest price point, however Verizon also has contract, and contract-free options.
From March 6th through March 10th the tablet will be $99.99 (on a two-year agreement). Otherwise, the regular two-year price point will be $199.99. And for those looking to avoid the two-year commitment — you can expect to pay $299.99. Regardless of the price you pay — you still have the same option to add this tablet to an existing MORE Everything plan for $10 per month.
In terms of the tablet itself, as the name would suggest — the LG G Pad 8.3 LTE brings both an 8.3-inch display and LTE connectivity. In this case the display is IPS and Full HD (1920 x 1200) in resolution. The tablet is then powered by a quad-core 1.5GHz processor. Users can also expect some LG specific features including QSlide which allows you to display two apps at the same time.
The LG G Pad 8.3 was first introduced in September 2013 during IFA. The tablet arrived in the US market the following month, however the bigger splash seems to have come in December when the Google Play edition model was released. While the software will be different as compared to the Verizon version, we did review the GPe shortly after it came available.
