It seems things are about to start looking even better for the popular LG G2x. You can read our full review on the beastly phone here. Now we have some great news, T-Mobile recently tweeted that the wait for gingerbread “wont be long” and that it was “coming soon”. Good news indeed.
There has been a few discussions about possible issues the G2x is facing. We reported about random reboots yesterday, but not all users are having that issue. My G2x has not rebooted once on its own. We also reported about LCD screen bleeding issues. Those might just be extreme cases, and I for one love the G2x.
With recent news of root and even 1-click clockworkmod recovery, the other side of hardware is looking better and better. With T-Mobile announcing Gingerbread 2.3 coming soon, and the CyanogenMod 7 crew working hard to get the G2x on board. Things are moving right along. We are expecting CM7 Nightly builds any time now for the LG dual-core phone. Will you be flashing CM7, or waiting for stock Android 2.3 Gingerbread from T-Mobile and Google?

The lcd bleeding?! Dang…

Ive fallen in love with the phone. 2.3 will only improve performance. I can hardly imagine that. This phone has been amazing thus far for me.
No issues and running adw ex is nothing short of sensational.
agree’d. EX is great and CM7 will be even better

I have had my for 5 days and it is constantly shutting down, I have to take the battery out to reboot it again. Plan on taking it back as soon as possible.
ha ha ha, I think I have heard this before, like when I bought my mytouch3g and they said Froyo, was coming soon, and lo and behold…. 18 months later. there it was
I have a small amount of bleed and haven’t had one reboot in the three days I’ve had it. I probably wouldn’t have even noticed the bleed if I hadn’t seen the xda thread.
the bleeding problem was just blown out of proportion. normal LCDs really has bleeding on the sides. there are just really few devices that has excessive amount of the usual light bleed.

LG G2x – I have a camera problem. When using Yahoo Messenger, Mobile to webcam, my G2x will only use the rear camera, not the one facing me. We can hear each other and I can see the webcam user, but unless I turn the phone around the webcam can not see me, only what is in front of me. T-Mobile is saying it is Yahoo Messenger, not the G2x phone. Does anyone know anything about this???
I have been having this problem too. I reported the issue to yahoo through the app. I also reported another issue I experienced: for some reason in video call the audio is coming through my speakerphone instead of the headphones when they are plugged in. In regular voice call, it uses my headphones.

I’ve had mine for about a week now and it started to reboot and freezes randomly the last 4 days. Happens 3-4 times a day.
The battery on my g2x sucks, also I am having issues with my text message falling
I meant failing not falling
Ill wait for the update unless dev’s at xda gets bangin rom up with bloat removed. Come on darky show the g2x some extreme lovin!!
how to use webcam on skype?
My g2x runs perfectly. The gaming, apps, skype, everything and if your battery is running out to quick then you obviously don’t know how to use your phone. This is a phenomenal phone

Yep, at least 10 reboots in 3 weeks on mine as well…..otherwise I like the phone for the most part, what should I do?
Have the phone since it came out and have been happy with it. Don’t have the reboot problem, well maybe 3 times in 3 months but I have had it lose coverage at the same time that my daughter’s TMobile Clique2 works fine. That’s more of a concern to me and hope that will be fixed with 2.3. The other problem is sometimes my music disappears and I have to reboot to get it back.
