Verizon Droid X Twitter account is real

The Twitter account spotted in the Droid X commercial has quickly been gaining attention. When we checked it out, it was proven that this is actually a legit Twitter account. What is even cooler is they're giving away a few Droid X handsets.

Samsung Acclaim for US Cellular Hitting Shelves on July 9th

The Samsung Acclaim, an Android slider phone will be released July the 9th. Not much information has been released by US Celluar on the specs or an Android version. The most info. floating about on the web is it has a 3.2 inch HVGA screen and a stock Eclair installation.

Samsung Galaxy S set with price and date to South Korea

The Galaxy S, has been given a priced and is set to start selling on June 25th. It's prices at 295,000 won, or is free, determined by the plan you choose. This new South Korean model is similar to the international version, including it's screen size (4 in.) 1GHz CPU, 5MP camera with 720p video recording.

doubleTwist Will Support Internal Storage Soon

If you have an HTC Incredible or Samsung Galaxy S, you will find that currently doubleTwist doesn’t support files that are stored on your internal memory. This will change soon according to doubleTwist. Their app is currently being updated to take advantage of handsets with internal storage.

Here’s another great teaser commercial from Verizon. This time around it features the upcoming Droid X. Like the initial Droid Incredible ads, this quick snippet doesn’t feature the actually phone but it does help build the anticipation of this handset.

Nexus One + LEGO + Adobe AIR = Wireless Slot Car Gas Pedal

Things like this are just totally cool. Grant Skinner has figured out a way to allow his Nexus One to be used as a controller for these little race cars. By tilting the phone, the accelerometer in the phone is used to make the car accelerate at a predetermined speed. If you tilt it just a little, the car will go slow. Likewise, if you tilt it all the way down, the car will go faster.

It’s a well known fact that AMOLED screen look terrible at best in direct sunlight. This makes the device almost unusable in direct sunlight. This is the one area where an LCD screen has a slight advantage over AMOLED screen. Samsung has just eliminated that advantage with the release of the Super AMOLED screen that made its debut on the Galaxy S.
