ZTE just rolled out the Nubia Z11 last week after months of waiting since the Z11 Mini and Z11 Max were announced. The device wowed us because of its 6GB RAM and and bezel-less display. And then there’s this new one called the Nubia N1. Don’t be confused because it’s different from the Z series phone and sadly, it’s only available in China.

ZTE may not be the top phone maker in China but the brand is definitely known the United States being the second largest provider of prepaid devices. In its native country, it’s thriving but maybe won’t topple Huawei and Xiaomi anytime soon. There’s a possibility someday if it continues its good work in design, production, hardware, and software but not now.

Specs of the Nubia N1 include a 5.5-inch FullHD LCD display, 441ppi pixel density, 64GB built-in storage, MediaTek Helio P10 processor, 3GB RAM, 13MP rear and front-facing cameras (f/2.2 with phase detection autofocus), dual-SIM support, 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth 4.1, fingerprint reader, and a USB Type-C connector. All these features are packed inside a full-metal metal body in Gold or Silver color options.

If the Nubia Z11 impressed the industry with is generous RAM and large screen estate, the new N11 boasts of a huge 5000mAh battery. This means the Android smartphone is powerful enough to last the whole day on a single charge on standard mobile use. With the battery, this ZTE smartphone can rival the Gionee M5, ASUS ZenFone Max, Acer Liquid Zest Plus, Lenovo Vibe P1, and the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro.

Perhaps the next best thing is not another feature but its price tag. The phone is only $255 (CNY 1699) so it’s very much affordable compared to the high-specced premium flagships we mentioned a while ago.
