Sony is still in the mobile business. It’s not going anytime soon despite thinking in the past 2016 could be its make-or-break year. It’s one of the few companies we believe come up with the best products although it’s not marketing or selling as much. Sony phones may not be improving fast enough but business is still thriving. The last phones we featured include the Sony Xperia XZ2, Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, and Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium. We’re still looking forward to that Xperia XZ2 Tablet and the OS updates for older smartphones like the Xperia XA1, R1 and R1 Plus, and the Sony Xperia X and X Compact.

The Sony Xperia XZ2 phones are still new but you know how it is in gadget town, it’s never too early to learn about the next flagship Android phone. We already heard about the Xperia XZ3. We saw the leaked specs and thought it should have been the Xperia XZ2.

You see, the XZ2 is still new and fresh. We don’t think many people already know about the phone but we’re already got our Sony Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact hands-on feature. We noted it’s time for a change but a few weeks from today, we may see another Xperia phone. It won’t be the XZ3 but a recent leak tells us the next Sony premium flagship offering will boast a tall 18:9 display, not-so bezel-less frame, a curved back similar to the XZ2, and what’s this–dual cameras! Finally, Sony is thinking of the dual camera setup.

Not many details have been shared but the Sony Xperia XZ3 is said to have a 5.7-inch IPS screen, 1080 x 2160 pixel resolution, larger battery, and higher RAM. Sony may not launch the Xperia XZ3 during the IFA 2018 in Berlin this August but it could be teased ahead of the MWC 2019 reveal.

We’re assuming this phone will have dual speakers–one on the earpiece and another one at the bottom. The notch is still absent so don’t expect smaller bezels. Design-wise, the XZ2 Premium and the upcoming Xperia XZ3 appear very similar but with the addition of the dual rear shooters and again–no notch. The fingerprint scanner is still in the back so we doubt if Sony is even thinking of an under-display fingerprint sensor.

We’re taking things with a grain of salt for now especially since it’s still very early. The XZ2 is relatively a new phone so let’s wait and see.
