The idea of remote access to something is nothing new. Other desktops can be accessed from another computer miles away, thanks to the Internet, servers, and special programs that allow remote control over a different machine. PC-to-PC remote access is possible through the likes of Parallels Access while some Android apps offer remote access to files.
In this day and age, it’s now possible to control Android devices from a computer. Testdroid allows Remote Manual Access to any Android phone or tablet. It’s a mobile app testing cloud-based program that works, well, over the cloud. But when it comes to real Android phone access and management, the Vysor app is another easy way to view and control your Android right from your desktop.
Koush has released the app as private beta initially but it’s now available for public beta so more people can test and hopefully, provide feedback before the official release as an add-on to the Chrome App Launcher. If you are on Windows, you still need ADB Drivers that you can download from ClockworkMod.
Using your Android phone from a computer is something I’ve imagined before but you know, things don’t always turn out as planned. The app still needs some finishing and looks like a number of issues have already been reported based on the reviews.
