Vivo is one of those Chinese OEMs that are busy churning out new smartphone models left and right. We’re not even sure how the brand is doing in the market but Vivo is still very much alive. The company continues to improve and it’s believed to be incorporating pressure sensitive displays soon together with OPPO, Meizu, and Xiaomi. After the 6GB RAM-equipped Vivo XPlay5 with curved screen was announced last March, here’s Vivo showing of the full-metal bodied V3 and V3Max.

The new Vivo pair was recently introduced in India. Both the V3 and V3Max are budget-friendly Android smartphones. They look nothing different from the Vivo X6 and Vivo X6Plus unveiled way back in December but the two are slimmer and are said to have improved specs and features.

The Vivo V3 features a 5-inch screen with 720p display, octa-core Snapdragon 616 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB onboard storage, microSD card slot, and a 2550 mAh battery. The slightly bigger V3Max has a 5.5-inch screen with Full HD display, 2.5D glass, Snapdragon 652 SoC, 4GB RAM, and a 3000mAh battery. When it comes to imaging, the V3 and V3Max have the same 13MP main camera with phase detection auto focus(PDAF), fingerprint reader at the rear panel, 4G/LTE connectivity, AK4375 audio chip, Quick Charge, and Dual SIM support.

The new Vivo V3 and Vivo V3Max will be available for around $270 and $360 in select countries apart from China. Phones will be sold in India, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Vietnam.
