Sony put the Xperia XZ and Compact up for pre-order on Amazon last week. The X Compact is now available and is ready to ship if you order today. If you already did pre-order, you can expect to receive your unit in the next few days. As for the Xperia XZ, the phone is still listed for pre-order and will ship starting October 2. Both phones are offered unlocked on the e-commerce website.
The Sony Xperia XZ is the latest premium flagship that comes equipped with a 5.2-inch 1080p display, Gorilla Glass 4 screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, 32GB onboard storage, 3GB RAM, 13MP front-facing cam (with Sony Exmor R ISO6400), 23MP camera, dual microphone system, and integrated noise cancellation. The device is said to be Sony’s real 2016 flagship. Unfortunately, it won’t have a fingerprint scanner in the United States for some reasons unlike its European counterpart.
Meanwhile, the Sony Xperia X Compact is already available in stock. It’s the smaller and compact variant complete with a 4.6-inch 720p TRILUMINOS display, Corning Gorilla Glass 4 screen, Snapdragon 650 chipset, and a 23MP main camera. The phone camera system impresses with a 5-axis video stabilization, Predictive Hybrid Autofocus, SteadyShot image stabilization tech, Laser Autofocus, 4K recording, and RGBC Infrared sensors.
Both the Sony Xperia XZ and Xperia X Compact are available in three colors–Blue, White, and Black. You can buy the Xperia X Compact (Unlocked Phone) and Xperia XZ directly from Amazon.
