The latest models of the Samsung Gear S2 Classic is finally ready for purchase on Friday. You will be able to order a new smartwatch from the South Korean tech giant straight from the Samsung website, Amazon, Best Buy, Macy’s and other select retail stores in the US for only $449.99.The Gear S2 New Edition is a thing of beauty as it is set in Platinum or 18K Rose Gold. Either of the two brings such a classic and luxurious feel.

Okay. So the price isn’t exactly cheap for a smartwatch since you can get the ASUS ZenWatch 2 for only $150 and it’s first-gen model for only $99. But then again this is Samsung we’re talking about. It’s the same Gear S2  shown off at the CES event in Las Vegas last month but there are more options now for the exteriors– watch straps and watchfaces.

The Rose Gold edition comes with an ivory leather band while the Platinum version is complemented by a black genuine leather strap. More choices are available from Colombo via della Spiga as well. New watchfaces include artworks from Jeremyville, Jean-Michael Basquiat, Keith Haring, and Burton Morris. For the young at heart, there’s a collection of Peanuts Gang watchfaces.

Let’s not forget the rotating-bezel design of the Tizen-powered Samsung Gear S2 Classic as it offers easier navigation and faster access to widgets, apps, and notifications. Feel free to check out our hands-on feature on the Samsung Gear S2 Classic at the CES 2016 last month.
