Samsung announced a new Gear at the CES earlier this week. Actually, it’s just two new editions of the beloved Tizen-powered smartwatch. The Gear S2, now called as the Gear S2 Classic, is also now available in Platinum and 18K Rose Gold. Nothing much has changed on the features and specs–just the exteriors. NFC has been added as well so that means you can use Samsung Pay with the wearable device.
The Samsung Gear S2 Classic is currently on display at the CES event in Las Vegas. Our friends over at SlashGear got their hands on the Rose Gold and Platinum editions and we must say the watches are beautifully made. Anyone would easily fall in love with the Gear S2 Classic and with the company expanding the choices of watch faces and watch straps, we’ve got a new winner here.
The Platinum edition comes with a black genuine leather band while the Rose Gold variant is complemented by an ivory leather band. More straps will be available from several designers like Colombo via della Spiga.
More watch faces will also be available. Don’t be surprised if you see the famous Peanuts Gang or artworks from Burton Morris, Jeremyville, Jean-Michael Basquiat, and Keith Haring appear on the watch display. The more designs, the better and the more attractive the Gear S2 Classic will be.
Feel free to make your own watch face design using the Gear Watch Designer. You can also share them with the community so more people can enjoy and appreciate them. Customization will never be a problem with the Samsung Gear S2 Classic so you know you have a classic timepiece that is uniquely yours.
