Niantic has been on a blocking spree since those tracking apps were discovered. The company said it’s cheating. It’s still ideal if you play the game raw and without any shortcuts but we all know that may take a while. We’ve featured a few trackers app already like the PokeTracker, PokeDetector, and Pokemon Radar. We know more third-party apps will have limited access so get them while still available.

No doubt Pokevision is one of the more popular Pokemon tracking apps today but it has since been pulled from the Play Store. It’s the first radar and map for the game which set up the stage for other similar apps. For now, there are alternatives we can use to finally catch all the pocket monsters. These are alternatives or “cheats” that may someday be removed from the Play Store.

SKIPLAGGED helps you find flights across the country. It’s not really a Pokemon-centric app but it has joined the hype train and used the augmented reality game to its business advantage. Meanwhile, there’s the POKEMESH that shows a user if there is a Pokemon nearby and allows a user to see a map. Last but not the least is the POKIIMAP which works similarly to the Pokemesh. You won’t find the latter on the Google Play Store as it’s from a 3rd-party APK user who put up a thread on Reddit for further news and information.

These are only some apps you can try but as we’d always say: Download AT YOUR OWN RISK.

  1. Another ‘legit’ alternative site is PokeWhere? They don’t use any software that breaks Niantic’s ToS but aggregate data from different sources all over the web. This way their map isn’t dependent on any 1 source staying available as they continuously update the source they aggregated.

  2. I used pokevision a lot and nothing is there on the internet as compared to their service.
Now I use “pokemononmap” as they are the only one providing live pokemons now, others just show us user submitted data.
