Aside from the Samsung Galaxy S, C, and Note, the company also has the Galaxy A series. It’s another mid-tier lineup that the South Korean tech company usually sells in emerging markets. We first saw the Galaxy A7 two years ago. Since then, yearly versions are announced from 2015 to this year and now we’re anticipating for the 2017 model.

The Samsung Galaxy A phones are not premium but they offer good value for money. Specs aren’t as high either but the next iteration could be finally dustproof and waterproof with its IP68-certification. Nothing is final and official yet but just last week, the Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 phones were leaked.

The waterproof-ness of the Samsung Galaxy A is said to allow the phone to last underwater up to 1.5 meters up to 30 minutes.

The upcoming Galaxy A may look like more like the Galaxy S7 and the problematic Note 7. Don’t expect any dual-edge screen here because this is only a mid-range Android phone. Color options are said to be Rose Gold, Gold, Black, and Silver.

Pricing is expected to be around $450 which is 500,000 won. Let’s wait and see if this Galaxy A phone will have that multiple advanced features we mentioned.
