Samsung isn’t only preparing for the Galaxy S8. There’s also the Galaxy A series that’s been available for years, serving the mid-tier categories with affordable smartphones. The year is about to end which means the 2017 versions of the Galaxy A3, A5, and A7 will be announced soon. Obviously, these phones will be better than the previous models–faster, better in performance, with longer battery life, and more robust and ready for everyday use.

Some images have been leaked recently. We’re expecting the Galaxy A7 (2017) will be released first since this year’s version was unveiled in January. Rumor has it the Galaxy A phones will each feature a glass design, 3000mAh/3300/3500 mAh batteries, IP68-certification, and Always-on display. The specs are already good enough so we can say the upcoming Galaxy A3, A5, and A7 will be more mid-range to premium.

The new Galaxy A7 (2017) is also believed to have a bigger screen compared to the 2016 version. It might have a 5.7-inch screen, 3500 mAh battery, 3GB RAM, Exynos 7880 processor, microSD card slot for expansion, and a 32GB or 64GB onboard storage. When it comes to imaging, it will have 16MP rear and front-facing cameras. There’s also the USB-C port and fingerprint scanner–features that we only used to see in premium flagship devices.

The IP68 mark of the Galaxy A7 is a first for any A-series phone. It’s something needed already and Samsung definitely needs to do good this year even only within the mid-range business. Check out the photos below and see what next year’s Galaxy A-series devices may look:
