The Xiaomi Redmi 3 has gotten the mobile industry’s attention because of its 4100 mAh battery when it was launched back in January. Even before it was unveiled, we’ve seen early hands-on and sample shots and even a TENAA listing. And once again, here’s another TENAA page that gives us an idea what’s next from Xiaomi. Actually, there are two separate listings which means there might be two more Redmi 3 models.
A Xiaomi Redmi 3 has just received certification from the Chinese FCC which means it’s launching soon. It looks like another variant of the Redmi 3 but now with new features added and a few changes on the specs. Two phones are listed: a Xiaomi 2015810 and the Xiaomi 2015817. There’s no confirmation yet but the two could have 3,000mAh and 4,000mAh batteries, respectively. Making the new variants better is the fingerprint scanner which we all know will allow authentication and more privacy.
TENAA pages are usually legit but anything could still happen along the way. The two new Xiaomi Redmi 3s could also be just prototypes or they could be old listings from before. The fingerprint scanner is very much a welcome addition to the affordable Xiaomi flagship.
To review, the existing Xiaomi Redmi 3 comes equipped with a 5.0-inch 720p HD display screen, full metal body frame, 4100 mAh battery, 2GB RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 Octa-core chipset, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing cap, microSD card slot, and 16GB built-in storage.
