This month started with Motorola announcing the much-awaited Moto Z3 Play. We’ve been looking forward to this because it plays well with the older Moto Mods. We’re curious to see again how Lenovo-Motorola made it possible for modular to be popular. Before the official launch, we’ve seen a bunch of image renders and a 360-degree video shared online. A Karbon Shield phone case went up for pre-order even earlier so we got a glimpse of the smartphone. We knew the device would arrive with dual cameras and smaller bezels so we didn’t expect a notched display.

Moto Z3 Play live photos from last month showed really thin bezels and confirmed the dual rear cams. Soon, official renders were leaked and we learned what we needed to know. The device was then announced and we were made to wait for a few weeks before pre-order opens. Well, the Moto Z3 Play is now an Amazon Prime Exclusive phone which means you can place your orders already.

Aside from Amazon, the Moto Z3 Play has also reached B&H and Best Buy. Amazon lists the Moto Z3 Play 64GB Unlocked version that is supported by Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T (GSM + CDMA). The Deep Indigo Prime Exclusive Phone offering costs $449.99. Original price was $499.99 so that’s a $50 discount, making the Amazon Moto Z3 Play cheaper. Item will ship beginning the 29th of June.

The Amazon Prime Exclusive Moto Z3 Play includes a number of Amazon apps: Amazon Alexa, Amazon Shopping, and Amazon Widget. Enjoy Prime deals everyday on your phone and access movies, TV shows, music, and Prime Photos.

On B&H, the same model costs $499. The Moto Z3 Play phone already includes a Moto Smart Speaker with Amazon Alexa which is valued at $112.

Best Buy also lists the Motorola Moto Z3 Play with 64GB storage with the same price but with free shipping.

To review, the Moto Z3 Play comes equipped with a large 6-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED screen with Max Vision 18:9 aspect ratio, 2.5D Contoured Gorilla Glass, 64GB onboard storage, 4GB RAM, 850MHz Adreno 509 GPU, Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 1.8 GHz octa-core chipset, 4G LTE connectivity, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, 12MP and 5 MP dual rear cameras, 8MP wide-angle selfie camera with screen flash, and a 3000 mAh battery with TurboPower charging technology. The Moto Z3 Play accepts Moto Mods so you can use the phone as a boom box, battery powerhouse, or a movie projector. The Moto Power Pack is already included when you buy from Amazon. A Moto Smart Speaker with Amazon Alexa comes free when you purchase the Android 8.1 Oreo-powered phone from B&H.

Moto Z3 Play also boasts facial recognition and a fingerprint sensor for security and authentication. All three online retailers sell the phone unlocked so it’s compatible with the major networks in the country.
