Lenovo seems to being the most-friendly tech company in the mobile industry today. Apart from acquiring Motorola, the company has previously partnered with the likes of Google and Huawei. No, we’re not expecting more Lenovo smartphones but the two groups have strengthened their ties with each other. Actually, this isn’t the first time either that we’re hearing Microsoft reinforce its partnership with another tech giant.

If you may remember, Microsoft has also struck similar deals with Acer, Google, and ASUS. Over the weekend, Lenovo agreed that it will be loading Skype, OneDrive, and Microsoft Office as default apps on more of its Android devices. This is great news for avid Android users who want to try Lenovo phones. This agreement is said to cover even Motorola phones which means more brands will be using Microsoft apps on their devices.

Microsoft’s Corporate VP for OEM Division Nick Parker shared:

“Microsoft’s thrilled that our productivity apps will be pre-installed on Lenovo’s premium devices. The marriage of Microsoft’s apps and Lenovo’s Android-based devices will enable customers around the world to be more productive, more connected and achieve even more.”

This collaboration is expected to “create new opportunities for our customers to take advantage of some of Microsoft’s most popular apps” as per Lenovo’s Leader of Corporate Alliances Christian Eigen.
