The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge may be DxoMark’s newest champion but it’s not without any issues. We recently noted that the Exynos variant is more powerful than the Snapdragon version while T-Mobile owners noticed that the boot loader is locked. It’s difficult to disassemble according to iFixit while the Verizon models don’t have the Samsung Pay as a default feature.

Most feedbacks are positive except for the locked boot loader and missing Samsung Pay. Some S7 edge owners have reported that they are experiencing finger rejection on the Edge screen. This happens when the camera app is on landscape mode. Apparently, input on the screen can’t be read by the phone most of time. Shutter won’t work for some S7 edge phones not only in the US but also in Europe.

David Ruddock of Android Police shared his sentiment about his Verizon S7 edge on Twitter and learned that others have noticed the same problem. Ruddock said that the issue can be reduced by simply adjusting your grip or hold of the phone. Interestingly, one said that his phone is “too sensitive”.

Samsung released on OTA update that was exected to fix the issue. Samsung seems to already know of the problem so an update has been made ready but some people are still experiencing the problem. The company didn’t announce that it’s included so maybe they’re still in the process of fixing the issues.

Such problem can be fixed easily but for now, be patient with your Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. Better yet, just hold it more properly next time. It can be annoying at times but until Samsung or the mobile carriers release the official fix, there’s very little you can do.
