The HTC 10 will soon be available from Verizon. That’s something we’ve been anticipating since the new premium flagship phone was announced a few weeks ago. Pre-order started last April 29 and deliveries will begin on May 5, Thursday. Verizon announced that you can get the smartphone with a $27 month fee on a two-year agreement. Retail price is $648.
The Big Red even published an unboxing video of the new HTC 10. There seems to be a trend now to come up with more unique ways on how to unbox gadgets. No thanks to T-Mobile’s epic unboxing videos. Verizon needs to catch up although not necessarily in extreme ways.

For this phone, Verizon tapped yoga enthusiast Ty’kea to unbox an HTC 10 and use it to take selfies while doing yoga poses. It’s not as extreme but HTC wants to give the public ideas on how to use the smartphone. We’re not interested in yoga either so we don’t know what came to HTC’s mind that a ‘yogi’ would help sell the phone.
We have no doubts that the HTC 10 and the HTC 10 Lifestyle will sell since it’s a great phone but with all the tight competition nowadays, HTC needs to rethink its pricing. It’s going to compete with the Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 edge, Sony Xperia X Performance, LG G5, and the Huawei P9.
By the way, the unlocked HTC 10 will also begin shipping this week according to Jeff Gordon (@urbanstrata) who is HTC Corp.’s Senior Global Online Communications Manager.
