We all know that Samsung decided to skip the USB Type-C for the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge because not a lot of OEMs and consumers use them yet. This time, it seems the South Korean giant has already took on the advice based on the newest images shared online. Fresh from Vietnman are images and a video showing off what’s believed to be the USB Type-C cable for the Galaxy Note 7.
Sorry, there’s no new view of the upcoming phablet but only this cable that confirms there will indeed be a USB Type-C port. It will be the first Galaxy device to sport such. The existence of this new port will make the difference between the Note 7 and S7 bigger although we know it won’t affect the popularity of the Galaxy S7/S7 edge.
We’re expecting that the USB Type-C on the Galaxy Note 7 will also bring some software update soon because of the Gear VR compatibility. A new pair is also expected to be introduced soon but known this early as the Gear VR 2.
Meanwhile, another photo surfaced online. It’s a full image of the Galaxy Note 7’s front that is believed to have an always on-display based on other rumors. Just like the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, the Note 7 and Note 7 edge are expected to have the always-on display but will be slightly different. It appears the icons are on the lower area of the screen compared to the S7/S7 edge where the AOD icons are higher.
