We said earlier that the Moto X Force could be the DROID Turbo 2 offering of Verizon. As you know, Droid Turbo phones are simply renamed Moto phones released in other countries. After the new Nexus phones and the mystery LG device roll out in the coming weeks, expect Motorola to tease the mobile industry with the Motorola DROID Turbo 2.

The DROID Turbo 2 is believed to be the Moto X Style. Last year’s DROID Turbo was the Moto X so it makes sense how Motorola is rebranding the new Moto X. It could probably be the Moto X Force we previewed earlier–or not. According to upleaks, this one will boast of a 5.43-inch shatterproof QHD display, Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB/64GB internal storage, 21MP main camera, 5MP selfie cam, and a 3760mAh battery.

The shatterproof display is interesting because it means phone is ready for rough days and will be complemented by metal edges. As with the recent practice, the upcoming Droid phone will be available for customization on Moto Maker. Phone will be ready from Verizon but if you want the custom colors and materials, you need to order right on Moto Maker and straight from Motorola.

If custom colors are not enough or should you get bored with your choice, you can avail of the one free design replacement or swap within two years. Another rumor has it that this one will be launched by Verizon on October 15 and will be ready for shipping by October 29. We’re not surprised because last year’s Droid phone was revealed around this time. Let’s see about that.
