The ASUS Zenfone 2 has yet to be unveiled in the US this coming May 18 but it’s already available in Europe, India, Malaysia, and Taiwan. The model was first shown off in the US at the CES back in January and we were impressed that a 4GB RAM and 64GB memory version will be a available.
Phone will be launched in an event in New York complete with a 5.5-inch display screen, 2GB of RAM, 13 megapixel camera, and a 3000 mAh battery. It’s only a mid-range phone but with its specs, it can very well compete with the latest flagship phones. We’re guessing this will sell in the US because of its affordability.
For those who’ve been thinking of getting one, now is your chance to get the Android phone because ASUS has just offered a flash sale on AliExpress. The 4GB RAM ASUS ZenFone 2 will be available for only $336.99 on the website this coming May 7th. That’s a huge discount from the $449 retail price. It’s a one day sale only so units may be limited.
We earlier noted that the ASUS ZenFone 2 could go head to head with the Lenovo K80 which is cheaper at $290–already loaded with 64GB storage, 4GB RAM, an optically-stabilized camera, and a 4000 mAh battery. Lenovo’s is a lot more affordable and seems like a better deal but problem is, it’s not available yet in most markets. We know the price and the specs but no details on shipping date yet.
Interestingly, this Lenovo K80 is currently listed on Ali Express with a discounted price of $89.64 to $103.71. This deal is for the 4G LTE FCC Lenovo phone S850c equipped with a 5-inch display, 4GB RAM, 8 megapixel camera, Octa Core 2.5Ghz MTK6592, 1920 x 1080 resolution, dual SIM support, and Android 4.4 KitKat. This is an early listing and this particular model only has 16GB built-in storage and a 2800mAh battery and not the hyped up 64GB/4GB RAM/4000 mAh model.
