Action Launcher is one of those special apps that are regularly updated for Android. The last one was released last July for the Action Launcher 3 with Google Now integration requiring root. Before that, support for double tap to lock was added while the December update made customizing icons easier than ever. Around the same time last year, Action Launcher 3 was also updated with Quickfind features.

For the latest September update, developer Chris Lacy tried to add all of the Nexus Launcher features including folders and dock tinting and the All Apps mode. The update adds numerous new features like the revised All Apps panel, new Nougat inspired folder presets, Quicktheme support, tinted dock background with full color customization, caret (^) option style page indicator, the Google “pill” widget, Nexus Launcher style Date widget, wallpaper picker app, plus Marshmallow (Beta) All Apps style.

The update also brings changes like grouping rarely used Desktop settings and several fixes like on the low-res icons, going back to Action Launcher via Home button, Action 3 Settings, opening Settings via the button, rare crash in loading Display settings, stability when loading previews of widgets, visual artifact, Quickpage not re-opening, and the red status bar among others.
