Google Pixel 4 Concept Phone Dual SIM

It’s never too early for leaks and rumors about the next-gen Pixel smartphone. We’re all ears (umm, eyes) about the Pixel 4 because it’s from Google. The phone series isn’t exactly a bestseller but it introduces new technology and innovation. The new models that will be released in the last quarter of 2019 are said to have improved dual SIM functionality. Google isn’t expected to make an announcement on the topic but we look forward to teasers. The information was discovered closer to a piece of evidence for the Google Pixel 3 Lite.

And so there may be a Pixel 3 Lite. One variant could be the Pixel 3a XL or Pixel 3 Lite XL or just plain Pixel 3 Lite. The phones are rumored to be launched by Google on Verizon.

The Pixel 4 will run on Android Q. That is something we can be confident about because it’s been a tradition. The enhanced dual SIM functionality is somehow expected because it’s the next obvious move.

An Android Open Source Project Gerrit commit presents some values in the framework and Telephony service that can tell if a phone offers multi-SIM support. The 2019 Pixel is mentioned as having dual SIM functionality. It’s not just the usual dual SIM function because this one will allow both the eSIM and physical SIM work at the same time.

Simply put, this change will allow Dual SIM, Dual Standby (DSDS)– both SIMs active can work simultaneously. By work, it means, the two can receive SMS and calls. They can be both active and this function will be available in Android Q.
