Vivo is making an important announcement later this month. It’s not exactly happening in Barcelona but on February 20, the Chinese OEM will unveil the Vivo V15 Pro phone in India. A video teaser was recently posted on Twitter, showing us a Pop-up Selfie Camera phone. This new smartphone will boast a hidden 32MP selfie camera. Vivo India teases that everyone will turn their attention on the Vivo V15 Pro as the first 32MP Pop-up Selfie Camera in the world.
The idea of a pop-up selfie camera is not new but it comes with high megapixels. Vivo is known for being revolutionary and innovative so this one is very much welcome.
Not many details are available. The last Vivo V phones we remember featuring were the Vivo V11 and Vivo V11 Pro. We’re just surprised at how Vivo can be so prolific.
Other phones we know with pop-up camera include the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 and the VIVO NEX. The latter already has a follow-up in the form of the Vivo NEX Dual Display Edition.
The elevating or pop-camera design has enabled these phones to have an almost bezel-less display. Some OEMs chose to implement a camera hole but a pop-up camera is also smart. We’re not sure how many brands will follow the same design.
