ZTE announced the Axon 7 last May as anticipated. The next-gen flagship smartphone soon made waves and we’ve been waiting for the more souped-down version, known this early as the ZTE Axon 7 mini. We heard it was being prepped a few months ago since the flagship model already made its way to the United States. Same time last year, the Axon Mini dropped by the FCC so we won’t be surprised if the next Axon Mini will be unveiled soon.
The launch might happen anytime soon especially now that the IFA 2016 is just around the corner. A couple of German online retailers have posted the said phone, unlocked and with a €299 price tag ($334). There’s no mention of the Axon 7 mini official specs but we’re guessing not much have changed.
The “mini” version will be a more affordable and simpler Axon 7, obviously. Rumor has it that it will equipped with a 16MP rear camera, Snapdragon 617 processor, and a 2705 mAh battery plus Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. Other specs could be a 5.2-inch full HD screen, 3GB RAM, 32GB built-in storage, 8MP selfie camera, and a microSD card slot for storage expansion. Expect the smartphone to be smaller and less powerful than the premium-specced Axon 7 when it becomes available in the mobile market.
