More than a month after its soft launch in Finland, New Zealand, Canada, and Australia , Rovio is finally releasing the latest Angry Birds game worldwide. The Angry Birds Transformers is now ready to take on the world..err, Piggy Island.
This will definitely be another moneymaker for Rovio. Both Angry Birds and Transformers are iconic so their joining forces together will be a blast. No more flying birds this time but you’ll see the Autobirds running and shooting the Deceptihogs and Pigbots who are in the business of finding the EggSpark.
In this new game, the famous Red is of course, Optimus Prime. Chuck is Bumblebee. This is the first time these birds will have legs and arms—running around and shooting the enemies, trying to defend Piggy Island and stop the Eggbots. And since this is a Transformers game, expect to see the Autobirds turning into vehicles.
Just like the numerous versions of Angry Birds, the Transformers game will require you to do a lot of things. You are called to destroy the enemy with a new firepower with no more slingshots this time. Unlock new heroes and villains that can do unique things.
The Autobirds of your choice can turn into a truck, car, or plane and then get stronger weapons as upgrades. If you’re very familiar with the Transformers plot, you’ll easily understand the characters, items, and gameplay of this new Angry Birds.
Angry Birds Transformers is free to download from Google Play Store but you might be tempted with in-app purchases.
