Motorola was fairly quick to roll-out an Android 4.4 update for US based Moto X users, however those up in Canada weren’t quite as lucky. But with that in mind, Motorola has announced the Kit Kat roll-out has begun for Rogers Wireless and Fido users. Interestingly enough, those in Canada will be jumping a bit ahead of the US users with this update.
You see, those in the US have the Moto X running Android 4.4, while those in Canada will be going directly to Android 4.4.2. And as was mentioned by Punit Soni, this means Rogers and Fido users will be the first with a Moto X running 4.4.2. Shifting away from the Moto X and back to the US, there is also a bit of good news for those rocking a Boost Mobile Moto G.
According to details coming from the Motorola support pages, Boost Mobile users will be getting Android 4.4.2. The update is already in progress and will be rolling out in stages. Basically, if you have yet to see an update notification arrive on your specific device, try to take some comfort in knowing it should be arriving sooner rather than later.
This of course, means Boost Mobile Moto G users will be on the same level (in terms of having 4.4.2) with other US based Moto G users. In addition to the Kit Kat news, Motorola also rolled out recent updates for the Motorola Gallery app and the Motorola Migrate app. Both of these are available by way of the Play Store and if you have yet to see them appear, you may want to grab your handset and launch the Play Store.
